I am an uncontracted (contact-free) dietitian , as I see several disadvantages with contracted dietitians. For example, there are various protocols from insurers that a dietician must adhere to, which means there is less freedom to treat (think holistically). In addition, contracted dietitians often incur unexpected costs, such as (extra) administration time, different rates between the dietitian and health insurer or the deductible.
The contracted dietitian must also share all data, information and treatment plans of the clients with the health insurers, so that this does not remain private. This can also take up a lot of time, which could otherwise be used for further training and conducting research.
With the contact-free dietician, there is transparency in costs , as costs are charged immediately after each consultation. So the costs do not increase. It is possible to declare the invoice afterwards to your health insurer and, depending on your policy, you will be (partially) reimbursed.

1. Direct time
The time the client has had contact with the dietitian. The client is present during this (the consultation).

2. Indirect time
The time the dietitian needs, among other things, to prepare one of the following activities:
- analyzing nutritional, dietetic and medical data;
- drawing up the holistic treatment plan and nutritional schedules
The client is not present.
